Hi, Keith and Trina your host

Here at Lone Oak Vacation Rentals, where family and the Shawnee National Forest inspire every stay. With my wife of over 40 years, Trina, by my side, we’ve wandered the world, diving in freshwater lakes, exploring caves, and swimming in Caribbean seas. Yet, the rolling hills of Southern Illinois call us home. Our son Seth joins us in this passion, helping me craft furniture that brings warmth and character to our rentals. Together, we design spaces that feel like home but ignite adventure. 

Our journey began in 2014 with Lone Oak Leasing, offering long-term rentals. In 2018, Seth’s strength after a life-changing moment inspired us to launch our first short-term rental. By 2019, we unveiled The Ranch, and soon after, Arsula’s House—a tribute to my grandparents, Johnny B. and Arsula (Dot). Built nearly 50 years ago atop Goe Hill, Arsula’s House offers stunning views of Stone Fort Valley, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. As a fifth-generation craftsman, I pour my heritage into every handcrafted piece, creating getaways where you can hike, fish, or soak in the tranquility of the Shawnee. Inspired by my parents, Wanda and Fred, whose 65+ years of love guide us, Trina, Seth, and I invite you to experience the magic of Southern Illinois.
